Homemade fish dog treats

Looking to start making your own dog treats but don’t know where to start? Look no further! With only three ingredients, this simple recipe is the perfect place to test your paw with pet-friendly cooking. Something smells fishy and it’s sure to get your pup's attention.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tin of Fish in Spring Water (Mackerel or Sardines)
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Tbsp of Plain Flour

Instructions

  • Step One: Drain and mash the fish, add the egg, and mix. Add the flour once everything has been mixed. Mix until the mixture is a loose batter (more flour may be needed).
  • Step Two: Fill a microwave-safe bowl with the mixture so it is 1 cm deep. Microwave for about 90 seconds or until the mixture is firm.
  • Step Three: Allow the mixture to cool before cutting into smaller cubes, ready for training. Keep treats in the fridge and use them within 3 days.
