Sweet Potato Dog Treats
A sweet snack for a sweet snack (your dog). Sweet potatoes are a healthy way to show your dog just how much you love them. Your pup will say "YAMMY!" as they snack away on this new treat.
Ingredients
- 1 Medium Sweet Potato, Peeled and Diced
- 1 cup of Rice Flour (or Almond)
- 3/4 cup of Rice Flour (or Regular Flour)
- 1 Tbsp of Flaxseed Meal
- 1 Egg, Lightly Beaten (or Applesauce)
Instructions
- Step One: Preheat oven to 350 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or nonstick spray.
- Step Two: Dice the sweet potato into small squares and place into a sauce pan. Add approximately 1 cup of water and place over high heat to bring to a boil for about 7-9 minutes or until the potatoes are easily pierced with a fork.
- Step Three: Beat the sweet potatoes until smooth, then add the flaxseed meal and egg until dough forms.
- Step Four: Place the dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll into rectangles, cut out shapes as desired.
- Step Five: Place treats on the baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes or until golden. Cool before serving.
