Turkey is a great source of protein that is also low in fat. Brown rice is a great carbohydrate source because it contains insoluble fiber which helps to maintain blood sugar levels and keeps your pet feeling fuller longer. This recipe should be used as a treat and not comprise more than 10% of the daily diet. We recommend consulting a board-certified veterinary nutritionist before serving home-cooked meals as the primary calorie source for your pet.
